It’s Christmastime in my house and I’m thinking about a few of my favorite things!
Here are a few articles/blog posts I’ve enjoyed over the last few weeks:
What makes a gift for a child worth giving - great article by my colleague Annie Fox. What a great way to think about what you can give to your children.
And what no one wants for Christmas over at Jenerally Informed - I have no idea where they even found some of these gifts….
10 things happy moms don’t do - I struggle sometimes with #4 and #6. My husband would also say that I struggle with #7. I’m a work in progress, some days are better than others :-) This article is a great reminder for moms to focus on the positives.
Ways to be a fun mom - great ideas to just relax and have a good time with the kids. We don’t do enough of this and I love that this list encourages silliness and time spent together as a family.
How kids affect your holiday tree decorating via Nick Mom, so true! I am at the school age tree stage of decorating, complete with the most gigantic ornament ever (see picture above). Hilarious.
And here are some pins I love!
Baked Cinnamon Ornaments - Made these yesterday and they made my house smell amazing! It wasn’t so pretty while we were making them, and they definitely didn’t turn out perfectly, but we worked together :-) More on that later this week...
10 cardboard projects for kids - great ways to encourage imaginative play!
Duct Tape Lego Capes - These are so cute! And they’re made of duct tape, one of my favorite materials!!
Q-tip snowflake ornaments - I think I’m going to do this with my kids this weekend!
Fast and easy homemade crayons - We made some crayons for teacher and family gifts this year. So much fun and so easy to do!
